With a commitment to libraries that goes beyond consulting, DeEtta helped to create some of the most influential programs in the field. Together with library leaders, she co-founded and led transformative initiatives such as the ARL Leadership and Career Development Program, the ARL Leadership Fellows Program, and was lead faculty on several others including NLM/AAHSL Leadership Fellows Program, BLC Leads, and the Minnesota Institute for Early Career Librarians from Traditionally Underrepresented Groups. These programs are cornerstones of professional development in the library world, designed to cultivate the next generation of library leaders.

At DJA, we understand libraries—how they operate, their unique cultures, and their vital impact on communities. Our work is driven by the same passion that led DeEtta to collaborate on programs like the ARL HR Symposium and the University of Arizona Library’s Living the Future Conference. From supporting the activation of the groundbreaking LibQual assessment by delivering hands-on consulting, our mission has always been clear: to empower library professionals with relevant, practical learning and development that addresses today’s most pressing challenges.

Libraries Are Our Core
While DJA partners with clients across industries, our work with libraries remains at the heart of what we do. We offer customized Learning & Development experiences, designed specifically to resonate with the goals, values, and people of libraries. In any type of library, and across all roles, DJA brings deep expertise, a genuine understanding of library environments, and a lasting commitment to helping your team thrive.
